Feature of the Month - Asiago Roasted Garlic

While Asiago Roasted Garlic is a good dip, most people use it as a great seasoning for recipes!

A Doxie Mixes original is our Bougie Grilled Cheese Sandwich!

Doxie Mixes founder, Wendy Jones, says she keeps a tub of butter mixed with Asiago Roasted Garlic in the fridge to make Bougie Grilled Cheese or even a single slice of garlic toast.

Asiago Roasted Garlic was also the first flavor that we used to make Chex Mix!  Doxie Mixes partner, Debra Madden came up with this amazing recipe!

"My family said this is the best chex mix that I have ever made!"
Direct quote from Debra!
6 tablespoons of butter (she recommends using real butter)
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 packet of Asiago Roast Garlic
3 cups Corn Chex® cereal
3 cups Rice Chex® cereal
3 cups Wheat Chex® cereal
Other add-ins of your choice: pretzels, mixed nuts, bagel chips, etc.

Melt the butter and add the Worcestershire sauce and Doxie Mix and mix well.
Toss dry ingredients in butter mixture and spread evenly over a cookie sheet and bake for 1 hour at 250 degrees stirring every 15 minutes.
Spread across paper towels to cool and store in an airtight container.

Another great stack idea from Debra are these seasoned Oyster Crackers. Good with many flavors!

Combine two 9 ounce packages of oyster crackers with 1/2-2/3’s of avocado or other oil of your choice with 1 package of Asiago Roasted Garlic dip mix. Stir every 15 minutes for a hour. This makes a great snack or topping for soups and salads.

Summer time is perfect for cold salads and Asiago Roasted Garlic mixed with 1/2 cup of extra virgin olive oil and 1/4 cup of red wine vinegar makes the best dressing for a cold Tortellini Salad, a Penne Pasta Salad, or a fan favorite, Cowboy Caviar!

Cowboy Cavier

Drain a can of black beans, a can of black eyed peas, a can of petite diced tomatoes, and a can of whole kernel corn. Chop half of a red onion (optional) and half a green pepper. (adjust that as you want. I love using red and yellow pepper too)

Mix 1/2 cup of extra virgin olive oil, 1/4 cup of red wine vinegar, a cup of finely chopped cilantro, 1 tablespoon of Asiago Roasted Garlic Mix the dressing, then add to the veggie mix.

Cook a bag of frozen cheese tortellini per the instructions.

Mix 3/4 cup of extra virgin olive oil, 1/4 cup of white wine vinegar, and one package of Asiago Roasted Garlic and whisk (Sweet Basil Parmesan or Onion Chive mix is also great!)

Toss cooked tortellini with the dressing and with any kind of veggies you like: sweet peppers, cherry tomatoes, onion, corn, etc. It's also great with sliced pepperoni! Chill for a few hours and serve.

Cut several large fresh tomatoes, add some thinly sliced red onion, and crumbled feta cheese.

For the dressing, mix 1/4 cup of extra virgin olive oil, 2 tablespoons of red wine vinegar, and Asiago Roasted Garlic Doxie Mix.

Mix well and drizzle enough on the salad to get it coated. You could also add cucumbers or red or yellow peppers

Asiago Roasted Garlic is your go to for winter as well!  Check out some of these warm comfort food recipes:

Crockpot Pork Chops

Layer pork chops in the crockpot. Mix 1 can of cream of mushroom soup, your favorite Doxies Mixes packet, and half a cup of beef broth. Pour over chops and cook on low for 6 hours. Thicken the sauce with corn starch for an amazing gravy!

3 lbs Beef Rump Roast
1 lb baby carrots
1 packet of Asiago Roasted Garlic
1 packet of Au Jus Gravy Mix
8 ounces fat free cream cheese

Put the pot roast in the crockpot and sprinkled it with the Au Jus gravy mix and Asiago Roasted Garlic mix. Then I put the baby carrots around the roast.
Cooked on low for 6.5 hours.
Then I shredded the beef and added the cream cheese cubed and stirred until everything was creamy!

This is always a favorite in the Jones house! It's great with Asiago Roasted Garlic, but I love it with Onion Chive or Spinach Parmesan as well!

I put chicken breasts in the bottom of my crockpot. Then mixed 2 cans of cream of chicken soup, half to 3/4 cup of sour cream (I'm an eyeballer) and half a packet of Asiago Roasted Garlic Doxie Mixes and poured that over the chicken.
I poured the contents of a box of stove top stuffing in a bowl and tossed in a stick of melted butter then sprinkled that over the chicken and sauce.

Cooked it on low in the crockpot for 4.5 hours and took the lid off for the last 15 minutes to firm up the stuffing.

We're not JUST about the crockpot either. Asiago Roasted Garlic is great on pork chops in the oven or on air fryer green beans!

Put a stick of butter into a glass dish and pop in oven while preheating to 350. The butter will melt during preheat, take out dish and combine your favorite Doxie Mix and 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese and blend into butter. Then put halved potatoes cut size down and boneless chops in pan. Bake 20 minutes at 350, remove and turn chops over, then bake another 25 minutes

Crunchy, salty and insanely easy! They're good with just about any Doxie Mix, but my favorite is either Sweet Basil Parmesan or Asiago Roasted Garlic

Rinse the green beans and pat them completely dry.
Add the green beans to a large mixing bowl.
Drizzle on olive oil, then add your Doxie Mix and toss together.
Place the seasoned green beans to your air and air fry on 350 degrees F for 8-10 minutes, tossing halfway through.

No matter how you use it, Asiago Roasted Garlic is Amazing!
